Chris Raines started the YouTube Channel, RBP Trains, in the Winter of 2021. The Channel has been a way for Chris to connect with fellow hobbyists from all over the world and has also provided a start for new hobbyists and collectors of model trains. Chris is often known as "The Katy Guy" for the dark t-shirt that he wears in every video. 

"I always liked The Katy logo from the M-K-T railroad. I just started wearing the shirt in my videos and it became a thing so I have stayed with it. The Katy has been iconic with Lionel since the Post War era and I have always enjoyed the appearance of the Texas Special and the Katy Heritage diesel locomotive."

The inspiration for this custom diesel engine is that it represents RBP Trains. The Katy was a natural fit for the road name and the design gave us an opportunity to get creative at the same time. The black coloring blends the RBP logo with the Katy Heritage scheme and we included a subtle presentation of the logo on the front and rear. The timing is perfect as this engine follows right after the prototypical run of The Katy Heritage SD70ace last year. This engine will look great on its own or lashed-up with another Katy Heritage engine (or any engine really).
