Williams was founded in 1971 by Jerry Williams. They started out by making reproductions of vintage Lionel and Ives Standard Gauge Trains. They were able to create trains that had more details than typical vintage trains because of new manufacturing processes. In 2007 they were sold to Bachmann trains and are now known as “Williams by Bachmann.”
