Power Supplies & Transformers - Miller Engineering

Your train needs the power to operate. A model train transformer and controller provide a voltage of electricity to run your train layout. A transformer creates an easy link between the output wires to the track. Make sure you have a power or terminal clip to connect the track to your transformer through wires.  Model train transformers can be both AC or DC.

DC Transformers: G, ON30, HO, N, Z Scale 

AC Transformers: O Gauge 3 Rail,  S Scale, HO 3 Rail European

DCC (Digital Command Control): In DCC systems radio signals are sent from a handheld or stationary device which converts the radio signals to digital information that is sent through the rails and picked up by a receiver in a locomotive.  DCC is a system that allows the independent operation of various locomotives.  This system allows multiple locomotives to run at varying speeds and directions at the same time and on the same track.
